In May 2024, Port of Seattle Fire Department once again participated in the Airports Council International (ACI) program Airport Excellence (APEX) in the evaluation of airports around the world. They invited Assistant Chief Starkey to travel to Manzanillo, Mexico to evaluate their airport's (ZLO) operations. AC Starkey was there to review their fire department airport response and offer suggestions for improvements. We are proud that API/APEX continues to reach out to our fire department for evaluators.
